LOS ANGELES and LONDON, Sept. 14, 2017
LOS ANGELES and LONDON, Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Glam App has partnered with coveted beauty entity Byrdie on a 4-day London Fashion Week pop-up salon, curated by Chief Creative Officer Joey Maalouf and CEO, Cara Santana. The suite will run from Sept. 15 - 18 at the Westbury Mayfair Hotel in London and offer express hair, makeup and nail services to attendees. The partnership between Byrdie and The Glam App marks the first for the two entities, but it is a marriage made in beauty heaven.
"Byrdie Beauty UK is the go to digital platform for all things beauty. Collaborating together for LFW was a natural fit. We are so excited to bring on demand beauty and the Byrdie digital experience to Londoners!" notes co-founder, actress Cara Santana.
"We're excited to support The Glam App in its first live event in London. Byrdie and The Glam App, both born out of Los Angeles, have worked together on many events stateside and we're looking forward to see them bring to life what they do best—making women feel their best—during London Fashion Week." - Amy Lawrenson, Editorial Director Byrdie UK
The UK is a major market for The Glam App, comprising over 80,000 of their users, and is currently the ONLY U.S.-based on-demand beauty app with a presence in London. "The Brits have always epitomized glamour and elegance, which is naturally why we chose to activate in London 2 years ago. As one of our top 5 markets, it's proven to be a synergetic decision," notes Santana.
The experience will include three invite-only appointment days daily from 9pm-5pm for UK fashionistas hitting the London Fashion Week happenings, and a fourth public day, open on a first come, first serve basis.
As far as LFW beauty trends, co-founder, Joey Maalouf, celebrity hair + makeup artist whose roster of clients include Rachel Zoe, Goldie Hawn, Kendall Jenner + more, weighs in on what we can expect. "I love the individuality and the confidence UK style has. It's a story where fashion + beauty meet self-expression. Look out for nail designs like painted on geometric shapes + crackled metallic stripes. For makeup, The 90s are back! Look out for grunge eye-makeup looks with a twist -- glossy pink eyelids and smoking out the bottom lash line. For hair, a wearable crimped wet look is the statement of the season along with a 90s super model inspired blowout!"
