AidEx: Seeking the Next Big Invention to Help Humanitarian Aid Delivery

AidEx, the leading global event for humanitarian aid and development is searching for this year's Aid Innovation Challenge winner. This is the competition that sets out to discover the next big invention that will impact the delivery of aid.

The award is open to design agencies, engineering companies and individuals. Applicants are welcome from anyone who has a new concept or product that will save or improve lives.

It is a unique chance to pitch life-changing inventions to a panel of experts from the sector live at AidEx 2018 in Brussels on 14 November 2018 - the leading exhibition and conference of its kind which attracts over 2,000 professionals from the aid and development community.

Past challenges have included a flat-pack water tank solution and blood donation mobile app, with last year's winner announced as the start-up Zéphyr Solar, who was crowned for their floating solar balloons which bring energy quickly to isolated sites.

This year's winner will be awarded €1,000 and a free exhibition stand equivalent to €3,500 at AidEx 2019. The deadline for entries is 11pm (CEST) Friday 19 October 2018.
